Summer Solstice 2024
The Year of Completion/Ascension
Today is Friday 21st June 2024 on the mountains of Penrith Cumbria. We are back to experience the incredible energies we felt here at Meg and Her Daughters Druid Stone Circle back on December 25th 2023 Winter Solstice. At that time we would usually be celebrating Christmas at home. Since lockdowns the desire to celebrate festivals in a materialist fashion has mysteriously disappeared and more of an appreciation for nature has emerged.
Astrologists have predicted the emergence of a Strawberry Moon for the evening of 21st through to the 22nd June, which is across the Sabbath from sun set Friday evening to the sun rise. At late evening around 8pm, we ventured down the public path towards the druid’s stone circle. Several people has already started to gather for the Summer Solstice, clothed in different unique dress styles. One couple were dressed in full Viking style headwear with corresponding gowns and wooden staff.
As we approached the stone circle, I suddenly paused from taking further steps forward. This was because inside the stone circle were approximately thirty fully grown female cows, happily grazing from one stone to the next. One black and white dairy cow suddenly decided to leave her stone and venture towards me seemingly very intrigued with my presence in her territory.
