The Winter Solstice December 25th 2023

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
On the winter solstice, the setting sun casts a shadow of Long Meg across the center of the stone circle. We believe Neolithic people celebrated the solstice to mark the lengthening days and the coming of spring. No one truly knows exactly why people built stone circles. It isa popular belief that the stone circles hold a profound spiritual significance for many different cultures to gather and celebrate luminary festivals. Thousands of years later, people continue to marvel at their majesty.
